Sous Le Coin Perdu, environment, various found objects and painted lining, Genk, 2013
Since the seventies the museum for local history of Genk was based in the basement of Emile van Dorenmuseum. In the beginning 2000 the organisation vzw Heidebloemke, that managed the museum in the basement, decided to close it. After a sell-out, the doors were closed and the objects were buried in their original location.
Sous Le Coin Perdu is an environment, with painted walls, staged objects and a new scenography of the abandoned museum in the basement of Emile van Dorenmuseum. As part of this installation a poster with the collected found objects was distributed, together with a special edition of Heidebloemke, the two-monthly-magazine on local history in Genk.
